About this Yamaha
The Yamaha TMAX 560 is the original sport maxi-scooter and still the benchmark. Its 562cc twin, aluminium chassis and genuine sport-bike handling deliver exhilarating performance, while the automatic transmission and fitted top box keep it effortlessly practical.
Rented from our Kata Beach base, the Yamaha TMAX 560 is a sport-touring maxi-scooter with a 562cc engine producing 47.6 hp @ 7,500 rpm. It returns around 22 km/L, so a single tank goes a long way between Phuket's beaches, viewpoints and night markets.
It is ideal for experienced riders who want sport-bike performance and handling with twist-and-go convenience. Every BikesPhuket bike is fully serviced, sanitised and supplied with two helmets, basic insurance and free delivery to your hotel. Pay by the day, week or month - the longer you ride, the more you save.
Where to Ride the Yamaha TMAX 560 in Phuket
The Yamaha TMAX 560 cruises Phuket's hilly west-coast road without breaking a sweat, and its wind protection makes the longer northern runs genuinely comfortable. Two-up touring with luggage is exactly what this class was built for.
Cape Panwa aquarium loop: gentle traffic-free peninsula riding, ideal for first days on Thai roads.
Naithon coastal twisties: the 4-km stretch between Naithon and Layan is the closest thing Phuket has to a racetrack corner sequence.
Collect the bike at our Patong office or get free delivery to your hotel anywhere between Patong, Kata, Karon, Rawai, Phuket Town and Chalong.

Rental FAQs
How old do I need to be and what documents are required to rent the Yamaha TMAX 560?
You must be at least 18. Please bring your passport and a valid driving licence - ideally an International Driving Permit endorsed for motorcycles. We hold either a passport copy or a refundable cash/card deposit for the duration of the rental.
Do I legally need a motorcycle licence to ride in Thailand?
Yes. Thai law requires a motorcycle licence or an IDP with the motorcycle category. Police checkpoints are common around Phuket, and your travel insurance may not be valid without the correct licence. A helmet is compulsory for both rider and passenger.
Are helmets and insurance included with the Yamaha TMAX 560?
Every rental includes two helmets and basic third-party insurance at no extra cost. Optional full damage cover is available, which lowers both your excess and the security deposit. Just ask us when you book.
Can you deliver the Yamaha TMAX 560 to my hotel?
Yes - we offer free delivery and collection within Kata Beach. Delivery to the airport or other beaches across the island is available for a small fee. Send us your hotel name and rental dates and we will bring the bike to you, fuelled and sanitised.
What is the fuel and damage policy?
The Yamaha TMAX 560 comes with enough fuel to reach a station; please return it with a similar level. A refundable security deposit of ฿22,000 applies and is returned in full when the bike is handed back undamaged.
