Kata is compact, walkable — and surrounded by the best short rides on the island. We deliver free to every hotel in Kata and Kata Noi, typically within 60-90 minutes of your WhatsApp booking; there is no surcharge and no minimum rental period beyond one day.
The road out of Kata immediately rewards you: two minutes south is the climb to Kata Viewpoint, and over the ridge lie Nai Harn lagoon and Ya Nui bay. That hill is real — fully loaded two-up we recommend at least a 150cc (Click 160, PCX) rather than a 110cc, and the Forza 350 turns the ridge road into pure pleasure. Surfers: a Fazzio or Grand Filano with a side rack handles a shortboard run to Kata's break just fine in the May-October season.
Count 10 minutes to Karon, 25 to Rawai's seafood grills, 30 to Big Buddha via the Chalong side, and about an hour to the airport. Petrol is at the PT station on Patak Road East; refill before a Nai Harn sunset run because the peninsula has no stations past Rawai.

Kata Beach Rental FAQs
Do I need a bigger scooter for the Kata Viewpoint hill?
Two adults with beach gear will feel a 110-125cc struggle on the 12% ramps. A Click 160, PCX 160 or any maxi-scooter climbs it comfortably two-up. Solo riders are fine on anything in our fleet.
Can I take a surfboard on a rental scooter in Kata?
Short boards yes — with care and ideally a rack. Ask us when booking and we will fit a bike with a side-mount board rack for the surf season (May-October).
How far is Kata from the main sights?
Kata Viewpoint 3 minutes, Karon 10, Nai Harn 15, Big Buddha 30, Old Phuket Town 40, airport about 60-70 minutes. It is arguably the best-placed base on the west coast for riding south.
